Since our 3 kids are in their toddler and preschool years and I don’t have any baby pictures in my laptop. I’ll just share a new addition to the family of my husband. She’s the 2^nd daughter of my bro-in-law who will turn a month this Saturday. Another baby girl in the family, I’m pretty sure the two girls will be guarded by their 5 kuyas—3 from us and another 2 from my other bro-in-law. I remembered during newborn care of my 3 kids, I had sleepless nights and memorable moments. Every baby I had created a new kind of experience.

Having a child is a fulfillment of a mother as a woman and brings joy to every family.

first date

OMG!! I can’t anymore remember my first date, I have slight dementia because of my painless normal delivery. All I can share was my date with my first love. I am in my senior year when I had a serious and I would say really my first to fell in love. He was also a senior and his room is just adjacent to mine. . My mom gave me two free tickets she got in a mall here in our city so I just invited my bf to be with me so it would be utilize. We watched a movie, can’t remember the title anymore. At that time our relationship was just 2 weeks old so also my first time to hold hands with him because we were too shy in school to do that. But as days passed by, we handled our relationship until we reached freshman college days. We both went to same school but still ended our relationship. Too bad!!! There’s a saying first love never dies. I don’t think so, it will die but memories do and will always remain in our hypothalamus.

This verse talks about the power of faith and thanksgiving. It says that you must believe in God's will and should trust Him because only He knows what is good for you. Once you will start trusting his will you will give thanks for everything which happens.

I have no idea about Haiti so I google it and discovered many things.

Haiti is one of the most exotic Caribbean destinations on earth and rich in superstitious belief despite its poverty.

The poorest country in the western Hemisphere and has been plagued by political violence for most of its history. And because of continued violence and political chaos there has been travel advisory initiated in this place.

About 95% of the people are of African origin and majority of them are Roman Catholics. And 80% of them lives under poverty line and 54% in abject poverty.

The earthquake made me sad but I believe that GOD has good reasons for letting everything happen even if sometimes it’s hard to understand. We just have to trust HIS will and have faith in HIM. Let us pray for the Haitian -- for more survivors and their fast recovery as well.

Almost everyday hubby and Andrei watch anime in Kapamilya and Kapuso. Today, we were able to gaze at Kapuso’s version of Ripleys Believe It or Not. I was amazed by the a Romanian woman they featured. She made her clothes out of her hair, she was so obsessed with her hair so she kept it since she was 16 until it reached 40 inches then started weaving it until she made a complete set of dress and accessories from head to feet.

Shocking but I think a very good idea of being innovative and recycling. Now I realized that I should not waste any materials/used things because it can be made of something.

Black Nazarene

I attended the procession of Black Nazarene in our city last Saturday. It was my first time and indeed a very divine experience. There were a lot of people, too bad didn’t brought my camera.

Last week when me and hubby were busy searching for jobs, we decided to visit the replica at Jesus Nazareno Parish, since He arrived, I haven’t visited Him. We entrusted everything in His hands. A day after, an interview was scheduled for me by January 9, 2009 same day with His feast. We were so happy, even if it was just an interview but it gave us hope. For the past few weeks, we were so down and didn’t know where to go and what to do. But everything was changed after we visited Him. He installed faith and hope in ourselves. Now, we’re so optimistic despite our situation. He never leaves, we were too busy and didn’t notice Him because of what this temporary world is offering us. We realized to hold on to Him no matter what. Thank you so much Bro…

Black Nazarene in Quiapo

The Black Nazarene is a life-sized, dark-colored, wooden sculpture of Jesus Christ held to be miraculous by many Filipinos.

The statue was brought to Manila by the first group of Augustinian Recollect friars on May 31, 1606.[1] The image was originally housed in the first Recollect church in Bagumbayan (now part of the Rizal Park), which was inaugurated on September 10, 1606, and placed under the patronage of Saint John the Baptist.

In 1608, the image of the "Nazareno" was transferred to the second, bigger Recollect church dedicated to San Nicolas de Tolentino (Saint Nicholas of Tolentine). The Recollect Fathers vigorously promoted devotion to the Suffering of Our Lord represented by the image that in fifteen short years, the Cofradia de Jesús Nazareno was established on April 21, 1621. The confraternity obtained Papal approval on April 20, 1650, from Pope Innocent X.

Sometime in the year 1787, then Archbishop of Manila, Basilio Sancho de Santas Junta y Rufina, ordered the transfer of the image of the Nazareno to the church in Quiapo, again providently placed under the patronage of Saint John the Baptist.

The image survived the great fires that destroyed Quiapo Church in 1791 and 1929, the great earthquakes of 1645 and 1863, and the destructive bombing of Manila in 1945 during World War II.

Recently, however, in 1998, a replica of the original Black Nazarene was first paraded due to the repeated damages inflicted on the statue. Today this replica is still used in the processions while the original rests inside the church, and other, even smaller replicas can be found in other churches.

Black Nazarene in Cagayan de Oro City

The archdiocese of Cagayan de Oro welcomed the pilgrim image of Black Nazarene accompanied by seven members of the Hijos del Nazareno from the Minor Basilica of the Black Nazarene in Quiapo last January 5, 2009. The image was given as a gift to the archdiocese from the Minor Basilica of Quiapo and will be enshrined at Jesus Nazareno Parish.

The pilgrim image, called “callejeron” is a replica of the original. Msgr. Monsanto said the image is not only a gift to the parish but also to the people of Mindanao who are besieged with a continuing unstable peace and order condition and uncertainties brought about by the global financial crisis.

Since its arrival, thousands of devotees from all walks of life, even the sick and the aged from all parts of Mindanao flocked to the cathedral to venerate the image.

He definitely earns my vote and 101% support because he's a product of two great icons in our country and I think he will not do anything that will destroy the legacy of his parents. A very simple and calm man, thinks very well before acting to a situation. Enough of corrupt leaders. We have had enough of intelligent officials who gives away money and getting it more than what they've spent when elected. We need leaders to protect us and bring back what we've lost. If we want change, let's start it now in ourselves by choosing the right ones.

THAI ME UP

Last 12.29.09, my high school friends had a get together and decide to meet up in this place. All I know it’s located Capistrano-Mabini, in front of Holy Cross. When I arrived I realized that this was the vacant lot w/bamboos around few months ago. Hubby and I used to pass by this area and were wondering what will it be.

As I enter the door, I saw my friends and was so happy to finally have time with them after 9 long years. Their were a lot of people and almost all tables were fro reservations. We transferred in bigger table because we were too many for a 4 sitting table.

Place was awesome! Staff were accommodating. Foods were so yummy and delicious. It was serve just on time, unlike other restaurants/grill places. There serving is always good for 2-3 persons.

We had their version of spring roll, beef with basil sauce, a fish and veggie dishes ( forgot the menu names, I have little dementia—SORRY!), pineapple and bagoong rice ( haven’t seen bagoong on it). For beverage, we ordered 5 glasses of 5 seasons shake but mine had a different color among the 5 glasses so the head waiter changed it. My preggy BFF requested for an orange shake but we were confused because the color was white.

But there was one thing that really disappoint me and wanted them to take care off first. I have a little knowledge about food and beverage because I was an undergraduate BS Tourism-HRM and I had 2 moths training sponsored by Tesda. Standard procedure in every restaurants—WATER is always first to be serve in a customer/guest.

My total experience with this new place and taste was not excellent but still I will definitely go back and try other dishes.

DUKA BAY

It’s my first entry and I’m sharing a summer scene. This was taken last year during a boat ride at a beach resort located at Duka, Medina, Misamis Oriental, Northern Mindanao, Philippines.

They have so much to offer but at that time we were on a tight budget. But I really made sure to try the glass bottom boat with the kids. A 30 minute ride that costs P400.oo only with a maximum of 10 persons. We were amazed by the coral reef formations and other sea creatures that’s rarely seen in the city, we even saw a sea turtle but I wasn’t able to take a photo of it. We had so much fun especially the kids and we’re planning to go back there and try other activities they have.
